Lieutenant Colonel Rashida A. Graves, Commander
Lt Col Rashida A. Graves is the current Professor of Aerospace Studies and the Commander of Air Force ROTC Detachment 592 at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. In this capacity, she leads a cadre of officers and enlisted members responsible for recruiting, educating, training, and motivating officer candidates for the United States Air Force.
Lt Col Graves received her commission through Air Force ROTC at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA in December 2004. Her assignments include weapons systems cost analyst, budget analyst, and commander’s action officer at the Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts; deputy chief, financial analysis flight, 6th Comptroller Squadron, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida; and weapons systems cost analyst, executive officer, and investment appropriation analyst for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Budget, Cost and Economics, and Programs) at Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Arlington, VA. She also served as the commander of the Butte Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Butte, MT. The mission of the Butte MEPS is to process individuals for enlistment or induction into the armed services, based on DoD-approved peacetime and mobilization standards.
